Letter from the Directors

Welcome! We're glad that you are considering St. John’s College for your education. At St. John’s, students read and explore some of the most relevant works in Western civilization from Aristotle to Aquinas, Dante to Dostoevsky, and Mozart to Melville.

The college’s co-educational community, free of religious affiliation, takes an open-minded approach to ideas of all kinds. Rather than being told how and what to think about what they’re reading, St. John’s students are asked to reach their own conclusions through deep thinking, critical analysis, and intense discussion.

Is St. John’s College a good choice for you? We would like to help you answer this question. We encourage you to explore St. John’s College and explore our academic program. If you cannot visit either the Santa Fe or Annapolis campus, please take our virtual tour.

Our goal is to make a St. John's College education accessible to students from the widest possible range of backgrounds. We work with families to craft a financial aid package that is accessible and affordable.

We also welcome students from all over the world, and we provide guidance on how to apply to St. John’s if you are an international student. Our application materials, as well as the Common Application and Supplement, are on-line.
