In his essay, "Nietzsche's Word: 'God is Dead'" Heidegger writes: "To think through Nietzsche's metaphysics is to reflect on the situation and place of modern man, whose destiny with respect to truth is still little experienced." In this lecture, Ehrmantraut will explore the question as to how the experience of the age as one characterized by ‘nihilism’ may open new possibilities for philosophic thinking.
Michael Ehrmantraut received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Boston College and is a recipient of the Bradley Foundation Post-doctoral Fellowship.
