St. John’s College welcomes the community to the 31st Annual Annapolis Cup—a croquet match between St. John’s College and the U.S. Naval Academy, held on Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m. Rain date: Sunday, April 21.
In the wake of recent tragedy in Boston the college will take precautions to ensure that the annual match remains a safe, family friendly event.
“Our hearts go out to the families and victims of the recent tragedy in Boston,” says Timon Linn, chief of Public Safety at St. John’s College. “Our goal is to ensure that everyone is as safe as possible; to this end my staff will be on hand on ‘game day’ to assist with any questions or concerns, and as our guests arrive on campus we ask for patience as we check bags and all other containers brought to the match. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday for a safe and fun event.”
See the Croquet page for more information on the 31st annual croquet match, including guidelines for tents, grills, picnics, and alcohol.
