Annapolis Business Friends
The Business Friends of St. John’s College seek to cultivate relationships between St. John’s College and the business community of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. St. John’s is an essential part of the fabric of the local community, and the business community has much to gain by supporting the educational mission of St. John’s through membership and cultivation.
Vital to the Local Economy
St. John’s College is a dynamic member of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County business communities. The college generates more than $25 million annually in business for the local economy and contributes more than $3 million to the tourist industry by welcoming more than 10,000 visitors every year. Each of these visitors spends approximately $300 per day.
St. John’s College has an annual operating budget of over $30 million, over 200 employees, and 550 undergraduate and graduate students. Of the college’s 9,000 alumni, 1500 work and live in the Baltimore-Washington-Annapolis area. St. John’s College has a strong and positive impact on the local economy.
