Visiting the Annapolis Campus

Day Visits, Tours and Class Visits

We welcome prospective students and their families for campus visits throughout the year.

Campus tours led by current students are available at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays, followed by optional class observations, and information sessions led by admissions office staff; Saturday tours are offered once a month.

Please reserve a place on a campus tour by contacting the Admissions Office (1-800-727-9238 or admissions@sjca.edu) at least twenty-four hours in advance

Tours and information sessions are offered most weeks throughout the year;  class observations are limited by semester breaks and holidays.  See our visit calendar for specific availability.

Overnight Visits
To see as much of the college as possible, consider an overnight stay. It's a 24 hour immersion into the community. You will stay in a dormitory room and have meals in the campus dining hall. Guides will show you the campus and introduce you to tutors and students, and you'll have plenty of time to explore on your own and have impromptu conversations with a variety of people. You will attend seminar on Monday or Thursday evening, and follow a full freshman schedule the next day. An interview will be scheduled for you with an admissions staff member or a faculty member.

What is most important is that you talk with students and faculty about their life here. The St. John's community is a community of learning, and you'll find a lot of dedication to the academic program. You'll also discover the ways in which the life of the classroom permeates the life of the community.

Overnight visits are generally scheduled for Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday during the academic year. See the visit calendar to check specific dates for availability.

Parents: We are pleased to have parents of prospective students see the campus and go on an informative tour. For information on what to see and do in Annapolis and  a list of local accommodations, please check the Annapolis Visitors Bureau, or the St. John’s Business Friends, who support the college.

Open Houses and Admitted Students Days
Both campuses hold regular open houses for prospective students and special visitation days for accepted students. Make sure to check out these dates as you plan for your visit to campus.
